My Prayer to Thee  

Lord give me this day a life to live.
Love for a friend, a hand that gives.
I know I owe my life to Thee. 
But just for today, give it to me.   

Let me share my love with someone in need.
Give me the strength to do this day a good deed.
Help me to find a song to sing.
About the shelter beneath your silver wing.

Give me strength to walk upright.
To help someone through a stormy night.
But just for today give life to me.
And then my Lord, I’ll give it back to thee.

For then when my race is done.
I’ll know for you the battle I've won.
