Long Day

Long Day

I am so tired and weary all worn out I am.
I took a trip today to another land.
I thought maybe she was going to leave me so I whined at the door.
She turned and looked at me and I whined some more.

I looked at her with sorrowful eyes and turned my little head.
She went into another room and returned with my bed.
I wagged my little tail and flipped around and around.
I knew I was on my way out of town.

I went to the pet groomer and got my nails clipped.
She was so proud of me, her I did not nip.
I laid my head upon her shoulder, it felt so neat.
Before I left she gave me a treat.

Then I went to Kentucky Fried and got me a chicken leg.
Then to the park I went and I ran and played.
Then I went to Shenna's house
When I am there she's as quiet as a mouse.

Shenna's a pup but she does not know.
I want to be friends but with her I have to take it slow.
Now Gretchen is a Great Dane and she don't give a hoot.
With one swipe of her big paw, out the door I scoot.

I still licked on her head and then I heard a slow growl from within.
John grabbed me up and saved my life and I knew right then.
You don't fool around with Gretchen, just leave her alone.
She knows it's her floor and she knows it's her home.

If you go to my album you will see my friend.
Look at Gretchen and you will know I almost met my end.
Now I am asleep and so weary from my journey am I.
All it took was a whine, and twist of the head and a little cry.
