The Spooky Movie

It all started with just fun and games and watching a good movie. J.C. decided he wanted to rent a movie, OK, said Kelsey and Victoria but no scary ones. J.C. just laughed. Oh yeah, he thought. The scariest one I can find.

They waited in the car with Mom for J.C. to pick out a good movie, he was really excited, it was best the girls didn’t come in and see what he was getting. Little did J.C. know this movie would also scare him. The movie was called Spook Night, it was about a ghost that came back to hunt all the children, it only hunted children. Now we all know there is no such thing as ghost that hunt children and this is just a story to scare you, in pretend land.

They all put their PJ’s on and Mom popped popcorn for them and left the room, she had seen the movie and was smiling, she knew how it ended but she had plans of her own for J.C. for trying to scare the girls. She called Kelsey in the kitchen and told her about the movie and her plans, and then called Victoria and so they were ready. J.C. started the movie and then he told the girls he would be right back, he went to set stuff up to scare the girls, his buddies, Zack and Andy were supposed to be in the tree outside and were going to scratch the windows and make howling sounds. The phone rang, Zack and Andy couldn’t come out so he had to think of something else but all of a sudden he heard a banging noise in the basement and he thought it was Mom, he called and there was no answer, he slowly walked back in the living and there was Mom, "did you hear a noise", he asked? "No" she said and turned back around to go into the kitchen to do dishes. Every time something scary happen in the movie he would hear a noise and he was beginning to get a little scared him self. He walked back into the living room and then during the movie he heard it, the scratching on the windows and the howling noise, "did you girls hear that?" , he said. "No, what was it?" they asked..."OH, nothing" he said and sat back down. He didn’t want the girls to know he was scared, then it started again and he heard his name, Jason, Jason, then he really got a little more scared. " Did you hear that?" he said again, "no" the girls said, "sit down and watch the movie". JC said, " OK, I’ll be right back", he went to the phone, " Hello Mrs. King, is Zack home " ? She said, " yes J.C., he’s already in the bed." " Oh, ok" he said, then he called Mrs. Cline, " is Andy there?" he asked, "Yes but he’s busy right now can you call him back ?" " Ok" he said and hung up. Now he was getting even more scared. He went back into the living room, "Girls" he said " lets do something else and not watch this, it's to scary for you two." They laughed and said " J.C. we aren’t scared, we like it". Then he heard the banging again in the basement and the scratching and the howling...he ran to find Mom and Dad and they were no where in site, he started yelling for them and then Mom came in the house and Dad came up from the basement and they were laughing so hard and the girls came out of the living room and they giggled so hard. J.C. ‘s face got all red, "This isn’t funny" he said. "Well it was funny when you were going to scare us wasn’t it?" the girls said. J.C. hugged his sister and his cousin and said " you girls are okay, but promise you won’t tell Andy and Zack", and they all laughed. " Lets not watch that movie lets just go play some good things that don’t have ghost and things like that in it" . The girls winked at each other, " if you promise J.C. you won’t try to scare us any more we won’t tell the other boys," " OK" he said, " I won’t" and he turned and there was a sneaky little gleam in his eye.
