Amanda's New Brother

Well you see Amanda is an only child and she really loves it. She gets special attention and as you know a little pouting gets her what she wants. One day her Mommy and Daddy were talking and they decided Amanda needed a little brother or sister. Now Amanda didn't want a brother or sister, she liked all her toys and being the only one so this really upset her. Sometimes an only child doesn't learn to share and that isn't good so they knew she had to have someone to help her to learn .

Amanda went to her room and she talked to Hobby, "I don't want to share, and I won't let it play with you, you are mine". She pouted up her little mouth and sat and began to think about it and she fell off to sleep.

Amanda began to dream... She lived in a great big house and there were rooms everywhere and they were all filled with toys, she had a tricycle and a swing set and balls and baby dolls and so many toys to play with, she sat in the middle of the room but something was missing. Amanda had no one to share these toys with, she looked and looked but could not in all the big house find any kids to play with. You see toys are not fun when you are all alone and you have no one to share them with. Amanda began to cry she was lonely, all of a sudden she felt something lick her in the face and it was her little Puppy. She woke up and began to giggle to her self and thought how wonderful it might be to have a brother or sister to share her toys with and to play with.

She picked up Hobby and put him under her arm, she thought maybe she should really hang on to him tight. She jumped up and ran downstairs to tell her Mommy. The little Puppy followed her and about the time she got to the bottom of the steps she saw it, a little tiny baby bed. At first Amanda thought it was a doll bed but as she got closer she knew it was too big, she began to worry about what room the baby would sleep in and if her puppy would like the baby more than her. The little puppy sat up and look at the bed and barked, it scared him, he didn't know what it was.

Amanda laughed and said, "that means you won't like it more than me right"? Amanda's Mommy came along about that time and said "Amanda is it all right if we put this bed in your room"? Well of course she said it was all right but she still wasn't sure how she was going to feel.
