Amanda has a Sleep Over

Amanda decided to have a PJ party, so she called all her friends to come to her house.   Mommy had to get things together and have all kinds of goodies for them to eat.   Amanda wanted to have all the toys out so they could have fun. First we will play baby sitter, said Amanda to Stephanie because Stephanie could read and write good. She would write down names and ages of the babies. They would pretend to keep babies while the parents worked.

There was all kinds of dolls in the attic to play with.   Crissy said, I can write down names too.   I can write good and they looked at each other, they knew she couldn't do it, well they couldn't read it when she wrote it.   They had a problem because then Cricket started to holler, me too , me too. I want to play, "I am the oldest" and Crissy started saying, Crickets an old lady, Crickets an old lady and they laughed just not paying attention to Crissy.

Then the fun started, they laughed and played and giggled for hours. Stephanie said we have to take pictures of all of us to have, well that was fun too. Stephanie puckered up her lips and pretended to be upset and they all laughed, then Cricket said, I can ride the bike for my picture. Crissy jumped up "Hey, I can do something you all can't do , watch my hair grow and they all laughed at her as her pony tail grew.

Lets play beauty shop too and we will cut Amanda's hair off. Amanda said "I don't think so, lets just pretend not for real. So they pretended to go to the beauty shop. Benjamin, Amanda's baby brother started crying and Mom had to leave them alone in the attic. It was okay for a few minutes then all of a sudden they heard a noise. Stephanie said "did you hear that?" and then Crissy said " yes" and Amanda said "maybe it's the story lady" and they all laughed and started to play and then it happened again. Then they got a little scared. Cricket was the oldest she said, "let's go get Amanda's Mommy". Amanda said "no it's okay we will just look and see where the noise is coming from" so they all got up and walked over to the back part of the attic.

Cricket said , I don't think this is a good idea what if its the marshmallow king and he starts throwing marshmallows at us and they laughed at the thought. I don't think they were afraid at all. It was kinda scary, they were real quiet and Crissy was shaking. She closed her eyes and said, close your eyes and it will go away, I always did that when I was little, Stephanie laughed, "Crissy" she said you are still little and they giggled. Well, " its true," do it and they all closed their eyes and stood there and they didn't hear anything.

They begin to smile and then all of a sudden Mommy came back and she stepped on a toy duck and it started quacking and scared them all, and they all jumped. "What's the matter she said, and they looked at each other, "Nothing" said Amanda, we are okay. Amanda's Mommy said I am going to get you some popcorn and I'll be right back. As she left they heard it again and then back they went to the back of the attic again to look.

There was a curtain over an opening and Amanda had never been back there but she loved her attic and knew it had to be one of her friends sneaking around and trying to play a trick on them. She looked around to see if they were all there, she had invited Connie to come and Connie had said she couldn't, but she was always playing tricks on them.

She was so funny and could tell jokes and make them laugh. She loved knock, knock jokes and told them one, one time and they laughed so hard Amanda almost wet her pants. Amanda said "I think its Connie" so they were very quiet and sneaked to the back and about that time Mom came to the steps and yelled "BOO" and the girls screamed and ran to her, she laughed so hard, she said "what are you girls doing back there"? They said, we thought we heard a noise and was looking to see. "Mom said okay let me check.

About that time she pulled the curtain back and Out jumped Connie, laughing and Mom said we were just playing a trick on you girls because Connie thought she couldn't come and she did, and they all laughed and started back to playing again. So it was a good night and a scary night too.

Do you ever hear things that scare you? Well sometimes it's just our
imagination and then sometimes its a friend just playing a trick on you, but always go get Mommy and let her check it out.
