Little Man

Stardust filled the magical sky  the night we bought Little man home. He  was originally bought for my cousin Kelsey but as he got off the truck, his high spirit got the best of him and he kicked up his heels. She just looked and said, "No way" am I getting on him. Of course I was kind of afraid also but as time went on and I watched him being shown and placing in many classes, I knew I wanted him for myself. One evening I walked up to him and rubbed his nose and I looked in his eyes and we made friends. My Uncle John gave him to me. We became very close, I seemed to know what he was thinking. We had so much fun at the  farm, I taught him to jump logs and run in the fields. I could get off of him and he'd follow me around, I never had to chase him down to catch him to saddle him. I called his name and he came to me. Many times I just sat on a log and he leaned his head on my shoulder and close his eyes. Little man wasn't only my pony , he was my friend, he listened when I talked and it seemed as if he knew when I was having a bad day.  Many times we went to the river so he could get a cool drink of water, he never went far from my side.  I not only lost a wonderful pony, I lost a friend but I know that in heaven we will have what makes us happy and  Little man will be at rainbow bridge waiting for me all saddled and ready to go.
